Graydon Ebert, Vice President

Graydon is a lawyer with Ain Whitehead LLP in Barrie, where he practices business and real estate law. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario law school and articling at a national law firm in Ottawa, Graydon was called to the bar in 2011 and moved to Barrie shortly thereafter to begin his legal career. Graydon provides advice to businesses in Simcoe County of all sizes and to all stakeholders in a variety of real estate transactions.

Graydon is a big sports fan and plays softball, curling and golf. He enjoys networking and meeting new members of the Simcoe County business and professional community.

Ryan Tomlinson, Vice President, Treasurer

Ryan Tomlinson settled in Barrie after graduating from Georgian College with a Marketing and Web Design degree. Ryan now owns Gooder Marketing, an internet marketing agency that offers customized web development and SEO services to small business in and around Barrie. Ryan is a foodie and HUGE sports fan, those topics are always great conversation starters!

Tom Wolfenden, Treasurer

As Finance manager, Tom is responsible for managing all of the firm’s accounting and finance functions.

Prior to joining Barriston, Tom worked as an external auditor at BDO for 5 years before becoming a controller with a growing manufacturing company in Barrie.

Tom received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Laurentian University in 2012 with a major in accounting. He became a Chartered Professional Accountant in September 2016 and has been a part time Accounting professor at Georgian College for 2 years.

Tom is also the Treasurer on the board of directors for the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association.

In his spare time Tom turns to friendly competition, playing a range of sports, mainly hockey, and has made a fantastic addition to the Barriston Badgers. He is proud to call Barrie his home and enjoys spending his time outside and with family and friends.

Rebecca McFarland, Director of Marketing

Rebecca is the Marketing Coordinator and Assistant to the COO at Barriston Law. Rebecca graduated from Carleton University, and after a few years living out west, returned to her routes in the Barrie Area.

In her spare time, Rebecca loves being outdoors and trying new foods. She also sits as a board member for the Rotaract Club of Barrie.

Alicia Steiner, Events Co-ordinator

Foster Lee, Secretary

Foster was born and raised in the Barrie area. He is an independent financial advisor licensed in mutual funds and insurance and goes by the name Financial Fost. Prior to the world of finances, he owned and operated a bee keeping company in Essa township. He started that company while attending Wilfrid Laurier University, where he obtained a double degree in Economics, Sociology and a specialization in applied research. Foster loves working with business owners, soon to be retirees and the young family markets.

Foster enjoys the outdoors, beekeeping (even when getting stung), sports (hockey in particular), a good book (usually historical fiction), running (typically under 10km) and walks around Barrie’s waterfront (not as frequent in the winter).

Rebecca Visser, Membership

Rebecca has close to 10 years experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, 5 of which she has been a proud entrepreneur in Barrie. She runs a professional and comfortable home base clinic on Barrie’s North End. Rebecca has also been involved in many networking or charitable organizations, BNI and Rotaract Club. Rebecca loves to get connected with other Business Owners and help them see the success they desire like so many others in Barrie have done for her.


Kevin Joseph, Past Chair

Kevin’s hometown is Barrie, Ontario. He is a mortgage broker and partner with Anthem Mortgage Group, an established and well respected brokerage for over 20 Years in Simcoe County. Kevin attended Georgian College for business and HR studies, and then the University of Lethbridge, Alberta for his business degree. He also studied European Business in the Netherlands and France. He loves what he does and is passionate about his business practice and community. Kevin has served on several boards in the past and has also been involved with the following charitable organizations: The Alberta Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, and Gilda’s Club to name a few.
